Grand Theft Auto (GTA) a rebel child of Rockstar Games. This series is one of the most famous and buzzing game in the globe. GTA series rules in the heart of all gamers. This mega-hit franchiese has earned a total 8 billion dollars as per statista sales, until August 2022.
History of Rockstar Games:
Rockstar brothers were music lovers and they liked the style of being rebellious. They started a music company for addressing their love to hip-hop style music. In the meanwhile, they also started to make games under new company called BMG Interactive, which is now known as Rockstar Games North. They had zero knowledge to make a game, but they were passionate to apply their music and style in the world of gaming. Their first game was top driving car named as “Grand Theft Auto” where users had the freedom to steal and drive any car in the game.
GTA 1 became a hit and soon GTA 2 was released. These games were attracting new and young gamers. The Retail stores started selling GTA series in good profits. GTA series were available on gaming consoles and PC. The second series became more nastier than first.
Why did people loved GTA Franchise?
GTA has his magic element called being rebel. The power to do anything in the gaming world. From driving fast, to chase with police, then the FBI and the Army. The players had fun and got the power to struggle and win. Even the background music was fasinating.
Then game GTA 3 was launched with better graphics, massive open world maps, walk of life and freedom to explore. This became a blockbuster in the market. This changed the way of gaming forever. You could add cheats, draw the police back, blast cars, steal money from pedestrians, buy guns, & lot more. There were cheatbooks being passed among players.
While this was rocking the market, GTA – Vice City the mostly loved and still being downloaded on Mobiles. Rockstar developers were counting the incoming cash flow while people were busy buying in que. Vice City had this mafia style, the miami map, narrative story, digital visual treats which were delighting the users.
But this brought GTA Franchise into limelight and started rising concerns for many citizens and politicans. Many people hated this game due to crime play and showing inappropriate content to the young kids. This instead pushed the sales more. The musics, maps and freestyle playing in real world like situations, adding cheatcodes was welcomed by new gamers. There was a hype of GTA around young kids, word of mouth, sharing cheat codes among friends, discussing maps, etc. This played the job of marketing for Rockstar Games.
GTA SanAndreas was launched next, where gameplay was about a gang-war, large open map to explore, and whole new level of cheats and additions. The new features like calling for a jetpack, fighter jets, speedy cars, bikes and extreme level of police chase. This game was even modifiable, which accidently opened a HOT Cofee Code that had Adult content. GTA SanAndreas was rated as M(Mature) 17+ category initially, but later it was called off under A(Adult) 18+ category, after the code was leaked online. The retail stores rejected the “A” category games to sell in their stores. Eventually, the sales of SanAndreas version came down.
GTA IV was a high end graphics version which was hyper violent, more close to realistic graphics, intersting story characters and larger map. GTA IV was rated 10/10 due to true to life storyline that breaked the records. It was connecting people emotionally which made a close relation for all the moments in the game. GTA IV was a very large size game in terms of storage. This game was complex, story plot was based on choices a player makes and did not really attracted the kids. Most kids still love to play GTA Vice City.
Before the launch of GTA V version, the game developers researched a lot with real world situations by meeting FBI and Mafia World. The plot designed in GTA V is more complex and highly researched. GTA V comes in 4K Resolution, with higher frame rates, Online version, In-App Purchases with real money. The textures, graphics, backgrounds, map, music, cars, humans, animals and other elements in the game are highly researched before adding in the game, just to give the most realistic experience. Since GTA IV, even this series will keep you attached to the storyline and plot. While Playing, You will forget if you are in real / virtual world. GTA V is very powerful suit of creativity and detailing. You can explore the world in a new way and share it online with your friends and followers.
Why GTA VI is not yet released?
According to Rockstar games, they had higher plans with GTA VI. GTA V is one of the most profitable game for the developers and still counting due to in-app purchases and upgrades which is driving more than 60% sales of the company which is good for the business. Hence, the developers have delayed the launch of newer version and they are planning to make it the most interesting, mind-bogling release for the upcoming future. So, the more you wait the best its gonna be. Don’t read the rumours, wait for an official announcement by Rockstar Games.
