Pokemon is a Japanese game made by a famous game designer and a director named Satoshi Tajiri. He is the creator of Pokemon Franchise. This game was realeased on Gameboy handheld gaming devices in Tokiyo, Japan. The game has a universe of monsters which are a meant to be captured in a ball by the main character in the game known as Ash. He travels the unexplored adventure world in order to catch all these capsule monsters and become the ultimate Pokemon Master.
History:
The game developer Satoshi had a hobby of collecting insects. He travelled into jungles and want to explore all sorts of bugs and creators. Since his Teenage, he wanted to catch and collect all creatures which seemed to be super facinating. He discovered arcade games where his interest in video games was expanded. He shared a game idea with SEGA for a contest and won the first price. Slowly, this facination made him start developing his own games.
Satoshi came across Nintendo where he pitched his childhood idea of collection of insects and creatures to the staff of Nintendo. They couldn’t understand the concept and rejected the idea. Finally he met his mentor where they together created the game Pokemon for gameboy devices. After few years of hardword, they finally presented their game to Nintendo. The
Pokemon Game:
This game was first released on gameboy as a top-level 2d game. Where Ash the hero is exploring the world collecting various monsters into a capsule. These monsters had different powers/features which were clashed with other uncaptured monsters when you wanted to grab them. So, you will throw the capsule be selecting the powerful monster player already owns and win the other monster. This is how you keep collecting new monsters and move forward in the adventurous game.
Well, this concept was not adopted first but some rumours of hidden powerful monsters in the game made the hype of playing this game eagerly. Eventually, Rumours of a hidden creature in the game became the selling point for the company. The idea of hiding creatures in the game made a win-win situation for the Pokemon Developers. Soon, the popularity of this game landed into offline sales of Pokemon Merchandise and Trading cards. This is how “Pokemon” became a franchise.
The Pokemon Company:
Pokemon Media Company now began making Anime series of Pokemons. This showed the fictional creatures known as pokemons like the game. The story plot of this series was humans captured these creatures, exploring the universe of pokemons, exploring new creatures, training them for the battle. The slogan of Pokemon franchise is “Gotta Catch em all”. These series became a hit and was telecasted by all countries. The franchise sold millions of merchandise, trading cards and video game series after the launch of anime television series. The soundtracks, animation and dubbing copies were loved by different types of young kids around the globe. When pokemons fight, the looser pokemon is captured in capsule because of being weaker than the stronger pokemon. Same concept works in Trading cards, the winner grabs the card if lost from highest card holder.
ASH & PIKACHU:
This iconic character is loved by each teenagers fans of Anime Series. Pokemon majorly become famous because of this adorable words, “Pika Pika”. Pikachu is most loved by everyone watching Pokemon series. Pikachu looks like a pet which connected to people emotionally. Pikachu is friend of Ash, who wants to master the Pokemon Universe. The toy forms of Pikachu is the most selling merchandise. The game developer made these creatures inspiring from old anime series like ultraman and godzilla. This is how he is known as director and game developer.
Young kids love the forest exploration and connected to nature-istic life like creators. Still after so many years, Pokemon series and community is growing bigger and stronger. As per the Pokemon company, there are currently 905 pokemon species with different charactersitics. The hype of collecting all trading cards, watching the series, and enjoying the adventurous world of Pokemons seems like a never ending trend.
The anime series is really a fun time to watch especially the villains named Team Rocket. Their gag and failure attemps to catch pikachu is interesting to watch. They keep trying to bring Ash down from his mission but end up either helping him further or failing as always, but never stopping back. There are lot more villians, stronger difficulties in the series, but together its an Adventure and Fun to watch. All Pokemons, the story, the series and if you have following this through your teenage times, its is a never boring franchise.
